Famous Logo

In Graphic Design this week we made a famous logo! The logo i chose was Captain America's Shield. This was a very challenging logo to make, you had to make many layers and make it look 3-D. The colors of this logo represent America with the red, white, and blue. We did this project to prepare us for when we make our very own logo's! I made this logo with a step by step tutorial.

Anatomy of Type

This week in Graphic Design we learned the anatomy of type. To do this you have five lines the first one is the Ascender line, CAP height,X-height, Base line, and Descender. In my name i had ten anatomy's. In the letter A counter, in the C it's an open counter, for the Y it's a tail, for the N its an aperture, the D has a stem, the A has a bowl, the V has an overshoot and arm, the I has a dot, and the S has a spine. This project was very challenging but very fun!

Color!

This week I started Graphic Design. We made color wheels this week and learned about color theory. Most colors actually have a meaning like blue is feminine, green is nature, and red means angry or passionate.We also learned how to use the software Illustrator and short cuts on the keyboard to open things faster. The first thing we made in illustrator was the bottom color wheel or plane color wheel. The top color wheel was our creative color wheel, for this one we went online and looked for interesting looking color wheels i food this one. The color wheel i did was actually pretty challenging, i had to individually pick every single petal and change the color and opacity. I actually am really liking this class and can't wait to do more projects in here this quarter!
