End of the Year Summary

This year in e-Communications I learned many new skills. In animation i learned How to use photoshop to create animations. We would make different layers and move the animation a little on each page. We also learned how to make animations in sketchup. These 3-D animations were very challenging to make because you had to get the dimensions perfect. In video we learned how to apply the six shot system in videos. We also learned how to edit video and add music. In graphic design we learned how to contrast colors and shapes. We also learned what shapes mean and what the colors mean.

In animation we learned most of our skills form Mr.Olson and form his blog. In video we learned the six shot system from Mr.Allam and we learned all of our skills on editing from Mrs.Morris. In graphic design we learned almost all of our projects from different blogs and youtube video. We also worked with people next to us to figure out things on Illustrator.

The skills i learned are important because i can use them in my future for this program. I can also use this in the future for my jobs and use my communicating skills for job interviews and everyday life skills.

My greatest strengths are working together with other people and coming up with creative ideas for projects. I also manage my time very well and turn in all my projects on time. My biggest weakness would definitely be that i am very shy and do not like to talk in front in groups. I definitely improved my skills on the computer but also learned more communication skills and pushed myself out of my comfort zone.

I am going to use these skills to help other people in the future if they need help creating a website or a graphic design. I can also use my communication skills for future job interviews.

I would want to change my relationship with my teachers. I would want to be more talkative and interact with them more.

Overall i learned many things and am very greatful  was chosen to be apart of this program. I made many new friends and developed many skills i will be able to use in my future even if i don’t end up doing something with technology.

e-magine

A few weeks ago i attended e-magine. This is a contest that has been going on for awhile now. It is held at Olathe Northwest and is a very big deal for us high schoolers. At this contest you submit projects you've been working on this year and many people judge your work. There were many different categories like short films, websites, and animations. This was a very cool thing to attend/watch the complexity of the work and details were amazing! I cant wait to create some of the projects they accomplished.

Final Project

For the last quarter of e-9 we were put in groups and made a Final Project. My teams company name was 4 Electronics and our product name was Rockit Headphones. These headphones had no cord so you can never get tangled in them, they also have solar panels on the top band so they charge on the go! They even have a touch screen on one of the headphones so theres no need for a device. You can download music right to the headphones. These headphones are perfect for going on a hike or even tuning out your parents. For this project we had to make a website, logo for a company, logo for our product, a ad, an animation, and a commercial. We each split up and did dome of the work. I made the commercial, ad, and website. As a group worked well while creating the product and figuring out what product we were going to do. My group struggled with working together on staying after or  a coming early to work on the project. If we did this project differently i would probably come up with different product and use my time more wisely.

This is the home page. This showcases our commercial which i made and the content i wrote.

This page is about our ad which i also made. I also chose the colors and put all the content in.

This Page of the website was bout our product i made the landscape for the animation and wrote about the headphones.
